Experiencing EL Nido (Team Promising goes to EL Nido)

There are two ways to get to EL Nido if you are coming from Manila; the first one is a fast and expensive direct flight from Manila to El NIdo via AirSWIFT or a more affordable flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa then travel 5-6 hours from Puerto Princesa to EL Nido. Team Promising opted for the second choice.

What to do in EL Nido

El Nido, Palawan is known for its picturesque and beautiful islands, greenish mountains and bluish seawaters. When in EL Nido, you can opt to choose from the four island tours offered by the locals. Try their land tour as well and get to see the twin beach of Nacpan for yourself.

Where to stay in EL Nido

EL Nido’s tourism is so great and alive that a simple Google search will definitely give you everything you need, from hotels and inns to transportation and land transfers including tours. Upon considering factors like price, review and location, we decided to stay in Nido Bay Inn (and it didn’t disappoint us). There are a lot of inns and hotels in the area but it is always best to get reservation in advance to avoid hassles. What we loved most with Nido Bay is that they got everything we need from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. Also, you can haggle when it comes to charges so always ask for discount ;).

Where to Eat in EL Nido

For some reasons, EL Nido comes with a lot of restaurants offering Italian foods. There are seaside restaurants as well that offers the usual pork, beef and chicken menu plus seafood of different varieties. Looking for the famous Nido Soup? Hmmm, sadly, it is something that is no longer offered in El Nido (although there is one known place where it is being offered in town, you need to ask for them).
