Pac-Man is Back!

After suffering from two consecutive losses a year ago, Manny Pacquiao is back and has proven that he can still fight and win at the same time. Pacquiao defeated the younger Rios after 12 rounds of boxing 120-108, 119-109, 118-110!

The win of Pac-man is considered to be symbolic in many ways. First it revitalized the career of the boxing champ being the new WBO International Welterweight Champion. His win also give chance to a possible Mayweather match next year. Most of all, the People’s Champ’s win is dedicated to his countrymen in the Philippines who got devastated by typhoon Haiyan last November 8.  The typhoon said to have claimed more than 5,000 lives and more missing and unaccounted as of the writing of this news.

According to most boxing analyst, the fight today was what they have been expecting from both fighters. Rios took all the blow with pride until the last round. However, the People’s Champ’s footwork and combination is too much for him to handle. Pacquiao’s solid combination left Rios with little chance of winning in the entire boxing match.
