ngiting gutom @ Food for the Heart |
When visiting a new place, among the few things I check are
places to stay with, things to do and foods to eat. In Sagada, you can have a
lot of options when it comes to these things and I am writing your possible options on where to eat in Sagada once you get to the place.
A 5th class municipality of Mountain Province,
Sagada has a population of more than 11,000 people. Sagada is 171 miles north
of Manila and can be reached via Manila to Baguio to Sagada trip or Manila to
Banaue to Sagada trip.
Here were some of the restaurants we tried during our stay so if you are looking for a place to eat in Sagada, please continue!
Sagada Lemon Pie House (Budget: P150 per meal)
Thanks Ninia for this Lemon Pie |
Sagada Lemon Pie House is one of the most popular
restaurants and dining places in Sagada, famous for its Lemon Pie. They also serve breakfast,
lunch and dinner.
Best coffee in town with Sagada Brew (Budget: P150 per meal)
Thanks Jake for the photo |
I love coffee and I had the best one that Sagada Brew
offers. Sagada Brew also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their burger and
sandwiches taste good as well. This is definitely one of the best places I had eaten in Sagada.

Hmmm shake in the morning! |
Masferre Country Inn and Restaurant (Budget: P200 per meal at Masferre)
Thanks Jake for the photo |
One thing about Sagada restaurants is that they always have the freshest
vegetable salad to offer. At Masferre Country Inn and Restaurant, the salad is
the highlight of our lunch. Their big serving and best tasting dressing made my
lunch a really good one.
Attack!!! |
Yoghurt House (Budget: P200 per meal)
Your Sagada food trip would not be completed without tasting the
best yoghurt in town from Yoghurt House. Yoghurt House also serves breakfast,
lunch and dinner and is considered as one of the favorite places in Sagada in terms of lunch and dinner.
Happy House Fast Food
If you are running out of choice and wanted to try something
simple, then Happy House Fast Food will do. They serve all meals as well. They
also serve hot arrozcaldo and goto as ordered even at night.
P130 per meal
My friends and I also tried to have breakfast at the Strawberry
Café where coffees are served cold and the wait time is longer than the other
restaurants we tried. The food they serve is good though. Strawberry Café breakfast
price ranges from P100 to P150.
If you want a home cook lunch or dinner, check out Food for the Heart because their menu includes pork adobo, chicken adobo, sinigang and menudo. The price is also cheaper at P100 with big serving of viand and rice.
Just sharing: upon arrival at Sagada at 12 noon, we asked
where the best place to eat lunch and they said we can try Salt and Pepper. The
experience was not good though because but upon ordering, the order taker was
rude and doesn’t want us to change orders because he don’t want to erase what
he had already written on his pad. He literally threw the menu on our table
when we were sitting. He even said something and left us. Upon leaving the
place because of his rudeness, the guy just even laugh. On our three nights,
four days stay, we never tried Salt and Pepper again.
Still, Sagada offers excellent choices of food at an affordable price!
