Rakuh-a-id-Spring |
Being not part of any Batanes tour packages, the Spring of Youth is often missed by travelers who visited Batanes. Located in Mahatao, near Diura fishing village, taking a bath in this spring will surely make you feel younger (well you got to survive the 20-30 minute hike so you will definitely feel younger afterwards!).
Diura Fishing Village
For our trip to Rakuh-a-id-Spring, we hired a tryk for a fee of P400 (two way, two persons per tryk). They picked up around 1 in the afternoon and we reached Fishing Village after a 30 minute ride.
This is basically the start of the trek towards the Spring of Youth and along the way, you have to get your camera ready as you passes by IG-worthy dropbacks every step of the way!

The Trek

The beginning of a long and winding road! |
The trek takes at least 30 minutes but with great views along the way, you can easily get the Spring without noticing how tired you are!

And finally we got here!
The water is so cool and clean that taking underwater pictures was piece of cake!

Luckily, not much people were visiting the Spring that we were able to take unlimited pictures.

We capped our Spring of Youth with a sumptuous meal from Cafe de Tukon. Indeed, a very amazing day of idleness in the island of breathtaking Batanes!
