Rurouni Kenshin (2012)

The story of Kenshin is one of the most amazing story I have ever known. I did not watch it when I was young. I did not watch Samurai X either, its English version. Not that we don’t have TV, I am just not a fan I guess- at that time.
The first time I saw Kenshin was two years ago. It was a live action movie. The first time I saw it, I did not get it. I just watch it and then let it go. I cannot even remember the name of the girl he was having a thing with.
The movie was almost the same as the manga’ version. It talks about the ‘manslayer’ who had a change of heart and decided never to kill again. He made a vow. To whom, I don’t know.
Kenshin Himura, the manslayer promised to defend those in need without killing anyone, thus he used a reverse-edged sword. While wandering, he met a young woman, Kaoru Kamiya, assistant trainer of a dojo (school). He defended Kaoru from the gangsters of Lord Kanryuu Takeda. In return, she invited Kenshin to live with her.
Kenshin end up defending Kaoru and the school from the gangsters and opium maker as they joined force with street fighter Sanosuke Sagara.
If you will ask me, the movie is interesting enough but since I am not Japanese and I cannot understand the language, it is hard to appreciate the actors and the fights while reading dialogues.
The fights are good too (since I have not seen the manga version yet) and Takeru Sato, the guy who played Kenshin was really good.
