100 Islands and More (Team Promising Goes to Alaminos City)

In Alaminos City, you will find one of the first and very popular tourist attractions in the Philippines, the Hundred Islands! According to official count, there are 124 islands when the tide is low and less than one island when the tide is high.

How to go to Hundred Islands

Visiting this tourist spot in Alaminos, Pangasinan is pretty easy especially if you are coming from Manila. Just ride any bus going North bound for Alaminos or Bolinao such as Victory and Five Star. The fare is around 480 and the trip takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. It is best to travel at night or in the middle of the night where there is less traffic. Just ask the bus assistant to drop you off at Alaminos.

Where to Stay in Alaminos?

If you are planning to spend the night in Alaminos after a day of island hopping, there are a lot of options in the area. From the City proper towards the Wharf where the tour boats are in, numbers of hotels and transient houses can be easily found.

Tip: Island hopping in Hundred Islands doesn't take that long and it is best to do a day tour in the area then proceed to Bolinao which is just 30 to 60 minutes away from Alaminos. Bolinao is known as the Boracay of the North and was one of my top beaches to visit during summer. For a part of our Bolinao tour, click here.

 Our Island Hopping Tour

Our tour started at 7am after having a delicious breakfast from our hotel, Casa del Camba. It is always best to start early so you can finish early. It is a way to avoid the heat of the sun as well especially during summer.
