London Olympics 2012

It's officially started. The London Olympics 2012 kicked off a few hours ago at the Olympic Stadium in London featuring a mass countdown. An estimated 60,000 viewers are on scene witnessing another Olympic history at the Olympic Park.
Common people, Londoners, celebrities and even politicians were spotted in the area including US First Lady Michelle Obama. The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth officially announced the Game Open.
The London Olympics will unite 204 countries and less than 20,000 athletes for the next 17 days as each athlete fight for their dream of grabbing an Olympic Gold.
The opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics was directed by Director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire). The theme of Boyle’s opening ceremony showcases the meaning of being a “Brit” hence he created the Isle of Wonder”. The Isle of Wonder features the British history from a humble beginning of being a Brit who is now leading the Industrial Revolution. Sing-along and performances were expected the whole night of the ceremony.
As of now, everyone is still waiting for the Olympic champion that will light up the cauldron to end the ceremony and signals the beginning of the Olympic competition.
