Will Katie Holmes get richer after her divorce?

She will be rich as she will be paid for every year that she was married with the Mission Impossible actor but since she signed up for a pre-nuptial agreement, she won’t get half of his money. Basically, once the divorce gets finalized, Holmes will be paid $3million for every year she spent with Tom Cruise. That is still a whooping $15 million plus she’ll get to own their Beverly mansion which cost an estimated amount of $35 million.

With the limited amount of fortune she’ll rightly get, Holmes will go after Tom using their child demanding child support. The suitable amount of child support she is demanding is of course in order for her to keep Suri’s lifestyle.

According to some tabloid news, the news of divorce was gladly accepted by the parents of Katie Holmes and that Martin and Kathleen Holmes knew that Cruise was very controlling as a husband. They said they were glad that their daughter is now free.

The news of divorce came out Friday after Katie Holmes filed a divorce case against the actor in New York despite the fact that they are staying in California. The reason for that is obvious, in New York; a judge can decide whether the cause of divorce filed is valid including differences in views of how to raise their kids. According to sources close to Holmes, the parenting style of Cruise and Holmes are totally different because the actor deals with Suri like she’s an adult and doesn’t believe in disciplining her while Holmes wanted her kid to have a normal child experience.
