Nurse stole identity so she can work

1Jada Necole Antoine, 33, admitted that she committed identity theft and stole the identity of a registered nurse so she can get a job. She worked for eight different hospice companies from 2009 to 2012. Antoine cared for more than 160 patients at Heart to Heart Hospice of Texas and Odyssey Healthcare.
Antoine, from Little Elm plead guilty of identity theft, a fraud case and is facing possible 15 years in federal prison.
The Texas Board of Nursing said that Antoine applied for a nursing exam in 2008 but was rejected because her credential were not accredited. To find work, Antoine stole the victim’s driver’s license, Social Security number and other identification of her victim. She was then employed at Dallas County hospice companies, earning about $55,000 from her work at Heart to Heart and Odyssey.
Aside from Heart to Heart and Odyssey, Antoine also worked for Community Hospice of Texas, Elysian Hospice, Hospice Pharmacy Solutions, New Century Hospice, Keystone Custom Care Hospice and Silverado Senior Living Hospice.
According to experts, the fake nurse could have endangered the life of its patients
Unfortunately, hospitals are not verifying nursing licenses hence any fraud takes time before they get caught.
Currently, Antoine is in custody and is also about to face another criminal case, for stealing a friend’s identity so she can buy a car. Apparently, Antoine was also sentenced to seven months in prison in a different County for another fraud case.
